Watford’s Kwadwo Baah received a red card after his team’s 2-1 win over Portsmouth in the Championship on Boxing Day (Dec 26), following a controversial 'Take the L' Fortnite-inspired celebration aimed at the away fans. The match, which was 1-1 and heading toward a draw, saw Rocco Vata score a dramatic stoppage-time goal in the fifth minute to give Watford all three points. During the celebration, Baah performed the popular Fortnite emote, angering both the Portsmouth fans and players.
Baah had earlier played a crucial role in Watford's equalizer by winning the penalty, though Portsmouth players disputed the location of the foul, claiming it occurred outside the box. After already receiving a yellow card, Baah’s celebratory gesture earned him a second booking, leading to his red card.

In defense of his player, Watford manager Tom Cleverley expressed disappointment over Mousinho’s comments. “It’s disappointing that John has been commenting on my players. I believe his team’s behavior in the second half ultimately cost them. I won’t point fingers at the referee – it was a difficult game to manage.”
