Fallout 5 is still years away, but fans can enjoy an ever-evolving Fallout 76 and the highly anticipated Fallout TV show, which continues to expand the franchise in exciting new ways.

It has been nearly nine years since Fallout 4 graced store shelves, and while most gaming franchises would be preparing for another entry by now, Fallout fans have grown accustomed to waiting. The long-anticipated Fallout 5 is officially in development, but Bethesda has been clear about the timeline. With The Elder Scrolls 6 being the studio's current priority, the next Fallout entry won’t enter full development until after ES6 is completed, meaning Fallout 5 won’t arrive until 2030 at the earliest. Despite this lengthy wait, there’s still plenty for fans to enjoy in the Fallout universe in the meantime.

Fallout 76 Continues to Evolve
Though Fallout 76 initially launched in a buggy and unfinished state, it has come a long way over the past six years. With 56 major updates adding fan-requested features, Fallout 76 has transformed into a richer experience. Players buy fallout 76 weapons from U4gm to enhance their character builds. Use coupon code "allen" to get 5% off at U4gm. From the addition of voiced NPCs to hand-crafted questlines, raids, expeditions, boss fights, explorable Vaults, and map expansions, the game has evolved into what many consider a Fallout MMO. And it’s not stopping there.

The latest update, The Gleaming Depths, introduced a new raid and four-star legendary weapons, but the most exciting content is still on the horizon. In early 2025, Fallout 76 will release its "Player Ghoul" update, allowing players over level 50 to transform into irradiated mutants. This update will offer 30 exclusive Perk Cards and is set to completely change the gameplay experience for those who choose to play as a Ghoul. Best of all, the update will be entirely free.

Fallout TV Series: Season 2 in Production
The Fallout franchise is also thriving on the small screen. Amazon’s Fallout series, which debuted in April 2024, has been a massive success. The show follows three characters navigating the post-apocalyptic wasteland, blending great world-building, fan service, impressive special effects, and solid performances. Winning this year's Game Award for Best Adaptation, the show’s debut season was a hit with both fans and critics alike.

Given its success, Amazon quickly greenlit a second season, which entered production in November 2024. Filming for Season 2 is expected to wrap by April 2025, with a focus on the fan-favorite location of New Vegas. While fans will have to wait a bit longer for the second season, it promises to be well worth the wait.

Although Fallout 5 might be several years away, there’s no shortage of content for Fallout fans to dive into. With Fallout 76 continuously evolving and the Fallout TV show enjoying massive success, fans have plenty to keep them engaged until the next big entry in the series. The Fallout universe is far from dormant, and there's still much to look forward to in the coming years.
